Comparing Rugby League & Union

Rugby Union is the bigger of the two sports. By making a direct comparison, readers may be able to grasp a better understanding of Rugby Leage straight away, based on their understanding of Rugby Union.

One of the variables was infinite, so by using the keyboard viewer shown in Mike's session yesterday, I was able to identify the combination for the infinity symbol as alt + 5.

Trying to compare the two with colour, but realised the blue and red resembled the American elections. Also, the rugby league looked to stand out a little more, and the emphasis is on league, so I toned the Union comparison down. I didn't like the layout of this comparison though, it's not as structured as the table and harder to understand.

Experimenting with subtle ways of leading the eye and organising data, altering the Unions colour from a dull grey to a light brown.

Tried white, didn't really stand out on the background.

Experimenting with number typefaces.

Organising the final thing so everything is aligned perfectly, ready to be transferred into the editorial.
