Initial Scalpel Work

Silhouette 1 - Lake with Horses
The skyline was way too thin, stock has started to curl in places.  Horses have come out quite nice but would have trouble cutting tails due to the solid parts not connecting.  Anything smaller than the horses could be too fiddly and may result in a poor outcome.

Silhouette 2 - Canal
A much more solid piece, added a frame for stability.  The design looks a little lacking though, and difficult to tell what it is through this basic scene.  I was scared to cut the entire pathway as I thought it would collapse the stock, but holds together well due to the amount of paper around it and the fact the path ended at a point.

Silhouette 3 - Tree
The tree was incredibly complex and took a while to cut out, but has ended with a strong design.  No part of the cuts were thin which meant none of it curled, and is a recognisable and visually effective piece.  I had problems with portraying the fencing, as keeping the middle intact made it look disjointed.  Cutting the whole middle prevents flimsy edges & enhances the shape of the tree.  Room at the base to add content.
