Statement Development - Final Outcomes
Statement Development - Final Development
My final development consisted of experimenting with the stripe effect, making a hybrid of stripes and circles and generally throwing any combination out there to make sure I'm happy with the solution. I still think the stripe effect looks really crisp and highlights the text well.
Statement Development - Colour Experiments
I used the colours I had previously experimented with and threw them together, thinking of complementary and clashing colours. Although they didn't look good as the contrasting shades, they are certainly eye catching and could be used as a one-off collectable print.
Statement Development - Colour Variations
Now that I had neared a conclusion in design, I thought about different colours and the effect they give off. I think I prefer the cooler colours such as blue and green, as the hotter colours such as red and orange look too aggressive for the laid back message.
Statement Development - Circular Design
I really liked the angled effect and Futura, as it conveyed the message clearly and gave off a vintage look. I considered ways to centre attention to the message, doing this with circular devices and using different shades.
Statement Development - Angled Work
These posters are a response to the Bauhaus posters used in the 1920s. I put the work on a 15 degree angle and used Futura, which is a clear sans-serif font. I considered orientation and colour when trying to get the two messages to read together.
